Anne Lewis VIVA Therapy Counselling (2).png

I'm Anne Lewis—Welcome! I specialise in working with couples where one or both are neurodivergent.  I also work with clients who are non-monogamous or polyamorous or looking to explore an open or poly relationship.

I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space where you can talk about what's going on for you, both as individuals and as a couple, and help you to reconnect.

I work online so that you can connect, wherever you are.

My Story

Hi, I'm Anne Lewis and I'm a fully qualified psychotherapist.  I know what it’s like to feel anxious and overwhelmed. In the past, I’ve experienced anxiety, panic attacks, and not feeling like I quite fitted in.  Therapy changed my life. It helped me understand and ease my anxiety, rebuild my self-esteem, and begin to accept and value who I really am.  That experience inspired me to retrain as a therapist—and it’s what drives my passion for the work I do in therapy.

Having worked for some years with individuals who experienced anxiety and ADHD, relationships were a recurring factor in the work we did together;  so, along with having personal experience of ADHD and autismit felt like a natural progression for me to begin working with couples and to provide couple therapy and I now specialise in working with couples where one or both are neurodivergent.  In fact, I'm proud to say that everyone at VIVA is neurodivergent affirmative in their work.

As a member of the LGBTQIA community,  I also love supporting queer couples in their relationships and as the founder of VIVA it was really important to me to ensure that all of VIVA's therapists are LGBTQIA affirmative and I'm proud to say that we all are! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

You deserve to feel okay—and I’d love to support you in getting there.

How I Can Help

Why choose me as your counsellor?

Having personal experience of ADHD and autism, I understand the unique dynamics it can bring into relationships—both the challenges and the strengths.  ADHD can affect communication, emotional regulation, and connection, which is why I was inspired to offer Relationship Therapy that is supportive, practical, and tailored to both partners.

I offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore what’s going on between you and, if neurodivergence is a factor—helping you understand the unique ways it can show up in your relationship and building new ways to connect, communicate, and feel heard.  My approach is informed by both professional training and personal insight into how these patterns can play out day to day.

Whether ADHD or autism is a recent discovery in your relationship or something you’ve been navigating for years, I can help you build understanding, strengthen communication, and create strategies that work for both of you.

I have completed training in, and use, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, in my work––The Gottman Method is a research-based couples therapy approach, developed by John and Julie Gottman, that focuses on improving communication, intimacy, and conflict resolution.

What will therapy with me be like?

My therapy practice is built on compassion, understanding, and a belief that everyone deserves to feel confident in who they are, and to have connection and positive communication in their relationships. I  offer a non-judgmental, affirmative space, where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of being misunderstood.

Whether you're looking for ongoing support or want to tackle a specific issue in your relationship, I’m here to help.  We’ll work together at your pace, finding the right path to move you toward the relationship you want to have.

Therapy with me is a real conversation. I’ll walk alongside you, helping you make sense of your experiences, build trust, and move towards a life and relationship that feels more aligned with who you are.
