I've set out below some information for you about how The Therapy Exchange works and my plans.
How it works
The idea is that The Therapy Exchange is a place where each member offers one weekly counselling hour to another therapist, and in return, receives a weekly counselling hour for themselves from a different therapist.
I'll ask you for some information on the registration form so that I can match you with two other therapists and I will send you an email once I've paired you up so that you have the details you need to get started.
If you feel the therapist match isn't great for you, that's okay. I want this to be a place where we are with the right therapist for each of us. As you know, it's the relationship with our therapist that matters most, so the matching process is important to me. But, I won't get it right every time, so if it isn't the right match for you, you can just let me know. I will then take time to explore with you what didn't work for you/what you feel you need, which will help me make a better match for you with a different therapist.
If you ever need to take a break, you can! If you're unwell or can't make your session, just let your therapist or client know, in the usual way. If you need to take a longer break, you can pause your membership.
There is a small membership fee attached, which helps me run the back room of the membership, ie. covering the admin and running costs of keeping everything organised, and the time I spend on organising matches, but I'm keeping it low so that it is genuinely affordable therapy. So I've set the fee at £19.99 per month and if you join me today, you'll keep that rate for as long as you remain a member. But, as a thank you for helping me build The Therapy Exchange community, if you sign up BEFORE the end of the month, you will get 15% OFF the usual fee and you'll get to keep that price for as long as you remain a member.
Coming up
In the next couple of month I will be introducing a CPD package as an add on to your membership. I'm looking forward to offering my fellow therapists another saving on something we have to spend money on.
