Holly Ibbs, MBACP

If you’re feeling anxious, emotionally drained, or quietly struggling with low self-worth or grief, you’ve come to the right place.
My practice is here for anyone who longs to feel heard, valued, and accepted—especially when life feels overwhelming or heavy.
My Story
I’m Holly, a humanistic counsellor with a warm, down-to-earth approach. I bring my full attention, empathy, and respect to every session. I have personal experience with ADHD and a deep interest in neurodiversity, which informs my practice in an open, inclusive way. I know what it’s like to feel different, to struggle with self-doubt, and to long for understanding—and I’m here to offer that to you.

I bring lived experience of ADHD, and I’m deepening my knowledge of neurodiversity through ongoing training. This area of work means a lot to me—growing up, I often felt like I didn’t quite fit in or measure up. It was through therapy that I began to understand my strengths and build trust in myself. Now, I’m passionate about creating a space where you feel understood, empowered, and valued for who you truly are.
My own journey through therapy helped me move from feeling not-enough to discovering my voice and strengths. That’s what I hope to offer you too: a space where your experiences are taken seriously and your individuality is celebrated. I’ve supported clients through anxiety, depression, identity questions, grief, and more—and I’d be honoured to walk alongside you on your own path.
How I Can Help
Why choose me as your counsellor?
If you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, or simply stuck in a place that doesn’t feel like you, you’re not alone. I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can explore what’s going on for you—without judgement, pressure, or the need to explain everything perfectly. You deserve to feel heard, understood, and accepted exactly as you are.

What will therapy with me be like?

Therapy with me is a gentle, respectful process. We’ll explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your pace. My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself—your strengths, your values, and your sense of direction. Together, we can work towards clarity, confidence, and a greater sense of ease in your life. I also work creatively when it feels right, helping you express what might be hard to put into words.
