A bit about me
I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist offering couples therapy at VIVA. I work with couples at different stages of their relationship, including those navigating conflict, separation or divorce, anxiety within the relationship, and changes brought about by life transitions or loss.
I work with all couples and relationship structures, and have particular experience supporting neurodiverse couples, including where ADHD or autism is part of the relationship dynamic. My work is LGBTQI+ affirming, and I aim to create a space where differences are understood and respected rather than pathologised.
In our sessions, I support couples to make sense of patterns that feel stuck or overwhelming, improve communication, and develop more supportive and sustainable ways of relating. My approach is both reflective and practical – helping you understand your reactions, recognise what is within your control, and respond in ways that protect your relationship and individual wellbeing.
I also have experience supporting couples affected by bereavement, recognising that grief can show up in relationships in complex and sometimes unexpected ways. I offer a steady, compassionate space to explore these experiences together and find ways to move forward with greater clarity and connection.
What our clients say about us
L, Client
Anne helped me through a really tough and turbulent time in my life. Working with her gave me the confidence and stability I’d been missing, and for the first time, I started to see how parts of my past were holding me back.
C, Client
I was feeling lost and overwhelmed, but Alex helped me navigate my emotions with kindness and patience. Her support has given me hope, and I now have the tools to manage my mental health in a way I never thought possible.
D, Client
At a very difficult time in my life I was advised to speak to Anne. She listened but didn’t judge. Instead she helped me to recognise and rationalise my feelings. I felt she had empathy and a clear understanding of me as a person. My time with her enabled me to move forward with a greater understanding of myself and my challenges. It gave me the emotional strength to address them with confidence.
