A bit about me
Hello and welcome! I’m Alex, and I'm a BACP Accredited and fully qualified counsellor with a particular interest in anxiety and how it shows up in our lives.
â
I take an integrative approach to therapy, which means I adapt the therapy I provide to fit you. I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation between two people, where you feel accepted exactly as you are.
â
âLiving with anxiety can feel like being in a constant state of alert—racing thoughts, tension in your body, or that ongoing sense that something just isn’t right. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I offer a calm, supportive space where we can make sense of what you’re going through and help you reconnect with what really matters to you.
â
I believe in creating a space where you feel truly heard and understood—where you can share your concerns without judgment. My goal is to help you work through anxieties, find clarity amidst confusion, and build the resilience you want, to navigate life’s challenges. Together, we’ll work towards a healthier, more fulfilling life, that feels more balanced and meaningful for you.
â
I enjoy working with dreams and being creative with anxiety to help people to change the relationship that they might have with their anxiety and to begin to perceive it differently.
â
I have personal experience of the transformative power of therapy––it gave me a voice and helped me to start advocating for myself. That process was life-changing, and I’ve never looked back. If you’re considering therapy, I truly encourage you to give it a try—you'll be surprised at the difference it can make.â

What our clients say about us

Client, LG
Anne helped me through a really tough and turbulent time in my life. Working with her gave me the confidence and stability I’d been missing, and for the first time, I started to see how parts of my past were holding me back.

Client, DB
At a very difficult time in my life I was advised to speak to Anne. She listened but didn’t judge. Instead she helped me to recognise and rationalise my feelings. I felt she had empathy and a clear understanding of me as a person. My time with her enabled me to move forward with a greater understanding of myself and my challenges. It gave me the emotional strength to address them with confidence.

Client, C
I was feeling lost and overwhelmed, but Alex helped me navigate my emotions with kindness and patience. Her support has given me hope, and I now have the tools to manage my mental health in a way I never thought possible.
