How I can help

Hello and welcome! I’m Alex, and I'm a BACP Accredited and fully qualified counsellor with a particular interest in anxiety and how it shows up in our lives.

I take an integrative approach to therapy, which means I adapt the therapy I provide to fit you. I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation between two people, where you feel accepted exactly as you are.

Living with anxiety can feel like being in a constant state of alert – racing thoughts, tension in your body, or that ongoing sense that something just isn’t right. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I offer a calm, supportive space where we can make sense of what you’re going through and help you reconnect with what really matters to you.

I believe in creating a space where you feel truly heard and understood – where you can share your concerns without judgment. My goal is to help you work through anxieties, find clarity amidst confusion, and build the resilience you want, to navigate life’s challenges. Together, we’ll work towards a healthier, more fulfilling life, that feels more balanced and meaningful for you.

I enjoy working with dreams and being creative with anxiety to help people to change the relationship that they might have with their anxiety and to begin to perceive it differently.

I have personal experience of the transformative power of therapy – it gave me a voice and helped me to start advocating for myself. That process was life-changing, and I’ve never looked back. If you’re considering therapy, I truly encourage you to give it a try – you'll be surprised at the difference it can make.

Losing someone I loved was the hardest thing I’ve ever faced. Alex provided me with a space to grieve, process my emotions, and find a way forward without feeling alone. I’ll always be grateful for her kindness and support during such a difficult time.
